Overview / Comments

Own a piece of History! This beautiful historic red brick building was originally built in 1906 and then remodeled in 1992 as an Antique mall. The owner currently has long term renters in less than half of the building producing $2,500 in rent, she has occupied the remainder portions with her own antique and gift business for the last 19 years. Many updates include wiring, plumbing, restrooms and a studio apartment built in 2010. Property is zoned commercial/residential so the apartment can be lived in or rented out for additional income to the new owners. Havana is a shopping destination with it's small town charm, local festivals, many wonderful shops, and cafe's. The building location has an added benefit of two entrances. One entrance is on the busy Hwy 27 side with high traffic counts and the quant tree lined sidewalk side with front door parking!

Site Description: Retail, restaurant, and antique shop district of Havana, FL
Area Description: In 1902, after the completion of a railroad track for the Georgia, Florida and Alabama Railroad, families who had originally settled in nearby Salem; decided to move about a mile east to the present site of Havana. The railroad was very important to the town, as was tobacco. The Town was incorporated on December 5, 1906. The name "Havana" was proposed by a local schoolteacher, James Mathewson. Shade tobacco, used in fine cigars, was the major crop in the area at that time. Over the years, tobacco crops dwindled and now the Town of Havana is well known for its many Antique Shops, Art Galleries, and Specialty Shops. The Town of Havana is located 14 miles north of Tallahassee in beautiful Gadsden County, Florida.
